Why a TV isn't curbside trash in Boston

Massachusetts bans cathode-ray tubes (CRTs) from disposal, and electronics belong at a certified e-waste recycler, not the curb — the old CRT and projection sets contain leaded glass that has to be handled properly. We carry it down the triple-decker stairs and route it (plus any monitors and computers) to e-waste recycling. The heavy old sets nobody else will lift are the same flat price.

Electronics we take

  • Flat screens — wall-mounted or on a stand, any size, dismounted and carried out.
  • Old CRT & projection — the heavy console and rear-projection sets, leaded glass recycled.
  • Office & home — monitors, desktop computers, printers, stereos, speakers.
  • Whole-room electronics — an office or media room cleared at once.

Built for Boston's stairs and towers

You can't set a TV at the curb here, and a big set is awkward on a triple-decker staircase. We bring the dismount tools and the people to get it down three no-elevator floors in Dorchester or Allston, or out a reserved freight elevator with a Certificate of Insurance on file in a Seaport tower. A top-floor unit costs the same as the ground floor.

Why Boston picks us for TVs & e-waste

  • Recycled, MA-compliant — including leaded glass from old CRT sets.
  • We dismount the wall TV — and carry it out.
  • Flat photo price — no per-flight surcharge.
  • Buildings handled — same-day COI and freight-elevator booking for towers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does TV removal cost in Boston?

Flat, photo-quoted: small TV $84, medium $91, large/CRT/projection $98, monitor $78, desktop computer $83. $75 minimum. The wall-dismount, stair-carry, and e-waste recycling are included — no per-flight surcharge.

Do you take old CRT and projection TVs?

Yes — the heavy old console, CRT, and projection sets are routine and the same flat price. CRTs are banned from Massachusetts trash, so we carry them down and recycle them properly.

Can you take a wall-mounted TV down?

Yes — we dismount it and carry it out, and recycle it as e-waste; for a tower we file the COI and book the freight elevator.

Do you take TVs off wall mounts?

Standard mounts, yes — the TV comes down, gets padded, and the mount can ride along on the same quote. We patch no drywall.

Can the old CRT go to the curb?

Massachusetts bans CRTs and most electronics from the trash — they're e-waste and have to be recycled. We carry the set out and route it to an e-waste recycler, same-day.

What do the old heavy sets cost?

The same flat class pricing as a modern screen — under 32 inches $84, mid-size $91, large/CRT/projection $98 — even though the CRT weighs four times as much.

Can you clear a whole home office?

Yes — monitors $78, desktop towers $83, and a mixed box of electronics $104. One photo of the pile prices the lot, all recycled.

How fast can a TV be picked up?

Usually same-day when booked by mid-afternoon — a TV pickup is one of the quickest jobs we run.
