Upload Photos & Get Quote →Boston is a city of stairs. The housing stock is triple-deckers and no-elevator walk-ups — the three-family wooden houses of Dorchester, Allston, and Somerville, the brick row houses and brownstones of the South End and Beacon Hill, the Victorians of Jamaica Plain. The thing that has to come down — the sleeper sofa, the box spring, the dead fridge — has to come down a narrow, twisting staircase, often from the third floor. That's the job here, and we price it flat: no per-flight surcharge, no "walk-up fee," no hourly meter running while a crew wrestles a sectional around a landing.
At the other end of the city, the Seaport, Back Bay, and Kendall are glass high-rises where the building runs the show: a Certificate of Insurance naming the association, a booked freight elevator, a loading-dock window. We handle that paperwork the same day. And once a year the whole city moves at once — September 1, when the great majority of leases flip and the curbs fill with everything the last tenant left behind that the city won't collect. That's our busy season, and we plan for it.
Flat rates, photo-quoted before anyone shows up. The price is the price — the stair-carry, the freight-elevator wait, and the dump fees are already in it.

"Sept 1 in Allston — the old tenants left a couch, a mattress, and a mountain of junk the city won't take. Photo, flat quote in seconds, gone before our movers showed up."
"Sectional out of a Seaport high-rise — they handled the building COI and booked the freight elevator before I even asked. Flat price, no surprise fees, done in 20 minutes."
"Third-floor walk-up in the South End, no elevator, narrow brownstone stairs. Quoted from a photo, flat price up all three flights, careful with the woodwork. Would use again."
