How does pricing work?

Flat, photo-quoted. Send a photo and we price every item up front from real Boston market data — e.g. sofa $170, queen mattress $139, refrigerator $221. Big jobs are priced by the truck: $325 (1/4) to $985 (full 16-yard truck). $100 minimum. The price you see is the price you pay.

Will you carry it down a no-elevator triple-decker or brownstone?

Yes — that's most of what we do in Boston. Three, four, or five flights of triple-decker or brownstone stairs are folded into the flat quote, with no per-flight surcharge.

Can you do same-day pickup?

Often yes, when a slot is open. Send a photo and we'll quote the soonest window across Greater Boston.

Do you handle the Sept 1 move-out?

Yes — the September 1 lease turnover ("Allston Christmas") is our busiest day. We clear apartments, whole units, and curb piles fast; book early for a same-day slot.

Can you provide a COI for my building?

Yes, and we issue it ourselves the same day. Seaport and Back Bay towers won’t release the freight elevator without a certificate of insurance naming the management company as additional insured, and plenty of brownstone and triple-decker associations ask for one too. Send us the building’s requirements — or just the management company’s name — and we file it and book the elevator window before the crew arrives. Our coverage: General Liability $1M per occurrence · $2M aggregate; Umbrella/Excess $2M · $5M; Workers’ Compensation $1M each accident. Your building is added as additional insured, coverage is primary and non-contributory, and a waiver of subrogation applies.

What do you take?

Furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics, exercise equipment, construction/renovation debris, basement, garage, and full-home or apartment cleanouts. We can't take hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, propane) — ask us and we'll point you the right way.

Which areas do you serve?

Boston and the inner suburbs — Back Bay, Beacon Hill, the South End, South Boston, Allston/Brighton, Jamaica Plain, plus Cambridge, Somerville, and Brookline.

How do I pay?

Securely online by card at checkout (powered by Stripe). Paying up front reserves your crew for the date and time you choose and locks your price — no haggling or awkward payment at the door.

What's your cancellation policy?

Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your scheduled pickup window, refunded to your original payment method.

Are there hidden fees — stairs, long carries, disposal?

No. The flat quote covers the walk-up, the long carry from a back-alley triple-decker, the loading and the tip fee at the transfer station. There is no per-flight charge, no fuel surcharge and no separate dump fee. The only thing that changes a quoted price is finding materially more than the photos showed, and then you see the new itemization and approve it before anything moves.

How are you cheaper than the big national haulers?

They send an estimator to your door and price on the spot; we price from a photo before a truck is dispatched, so nobody pays for a sales visit. A sofa is $170 and a queen mattress $139 in Boston, published, and truck loads run $325 for a quarter to $985 full — you can check the number before you commit rather than after a crew is standing in your living room.

Do I need to drag anything to the curb first?

No, and please don't for a triple-decker. Carrying it down is the job — third-floor back stairs, a brownstone garden-level door, a Cambridge basement with a low bulkhead. Leave everything where it sits and point at it.

Is the quote fixed once I've sent photos?

Yes, for what the photos show. If the crew opens a closet and finds another room's worth of things, they re-quote on the spot from the same published list and wait for your OK. Nobody starts loading against an unapproved number.

What does the price include?

Labor, the carry-out, loading, the drive and the disposal or recycling fee. Also the certificate of insurance if your building needs one, at no charge. What you're quoted is what the card is charged.

Do you donate or recycle instead of dumping?

Where a piece is genuinely reusable, yes — usable furniture goes to a local reuse outlet rather than the landfill, and metal, appliances and electronics are separated for recycling. We don't promise a donation receipt for every load, because plenty of what we carry out of a Sept 1 turnover is past saving.

Are you insured, and for how much?

Yes. General Liability at $1M per occurrence and $2M aggregate, an Umbrella/Excess layer of $2M per occurrence and $5M aggregate, and Workers' Compensation on the crews. Seaport and Back Bay management offices can have the certificate the same day they ask.

Do I have to be home when the crew arrives?

Only if they need to get inside. A porch, a driveway, an unlocked bulkhead or a garage code is enough — we text photos of the cleared space when the truck pulls away.
