How this list works
Two prices exist for any job and you pay the lower one.
Item price. Add up the things you have. Every line below is a published number.
Truck-fill price. Quarter truck $325, three-eighths $455, half $580, five-eighths $690, three-quarters $790, seven-eighths $890, full truck $985.
Minimum per visit is $75. Carry-out from any floor, disassembly where it is needed, and disposal are all inside these numbers. There is no stair charge, no walk-up fee, no same-day surcharge and nothing added at the door.

Worked examples from real Boston jobs
- Sofa out of a Southie third floor. $170.
- Bedroom swap in Dorchester. Mattress and box spring set $192 plus a solid queen frame $169 = $361.
- Kitchen in Somerville. Refrigerator $221 plus gas range $185 plus dishwasher $147 = $553. At that point the half truck at $580 is close enough to be worth comparing.
- Porch and basement clear in Roslindale after the first frost. Two large window AC units, a dehumidifier and a medium junk pile: $147 + $147 + $104 + $174 = $572.
- Whole basement in a Jamaica Plain two-family. Truck-fill territory. Half truck $580, or a full truck at $985 if it is genuinely thirty years deep.
What is not on this list
There is no line for stairs, because there is not one. There is no line for a narrow street, a permit-parking block, a long carry from a Back Bay stoop, or a crew arriving on a Saturday. Those are conditions of working in Boston, not extras.
Hazardous material is the genuine exception — wet paint, solvents, fuel, asbestos and medical waste have their own routes and are not a junk-truck job. Empty and dried-out paint cans are a different matter and are on the list.

Frequently asked questions
Is this the real price or a starting price?
It is the real price. What you see before booking is what is charged. Carry-out from any floor and disposal are already inside it.
What is the minimum?
$75 per visit. Most single items are above it already — the cheapest things on the list, like a single tire at $30 or a suitcase at $40, are the ones where the minimum actually applies.
How do I know whether to book by item or by truck?
Enter what you have and both numbers appear. For a handful of objects the item total is usually lower; for a full basement or garage the truck ladder is, starting at $325 for a quarter truck.
Does the third floor of a triple-decker cost more?
No. A sofa is $170 whether it is on the sidewalk or up three flights of narrow back stairs. That carry is the job, not a surcharge.
What about a mattress?
Twin $111, full $126, queen $139, king $154, box spring $124, or $192 for the mattress-and-box-spring set. Massachusetts restricts mattress disposal, so they go a separate route from household trash.
Do prices change around September 1?
No. The prices are the same all year. What changes in that week is availability, so book before the last week of August if you are moving then.
